Catch-Up Premium Evaluation

Schools that receive additional funding, such as the Pupil Premium to support its disadvantaged pupils, must demonstrate that it is using the funding effectively. 

 

Reporting on the use of each of the funding is also statutory. From experience, we know that this process can be time consuming for school leaders.

 

Our experienced consultants can evaluate the impact of the funding for school leaders. This will provide clear next steps, templates and recommendations to ensure compliance and that the funds are used in a way that helps pupils to make progress.

 

What the evaluation involves

 

• This can be a bespoke exercise to meet the needs of your school and leaders.

• The evaluation will look at school data (including your IDSR), pupil progress, the school improvement plan, effectiveness and impact against DfE and Ofsted guidance.

• The exercise will involve meeting the relevant staff, leaders, governors (or trustees) and/or conducting pupil voice, brief visits to classrooms with leaders and work scrutiny. School leaders can discuss with our consultant if they wish to focus on a particular aspect only.

• Help schools to demonstrate impact, provide templates (e.g. Pupil Premium Strategy) and ensure reporting compliance.

• The evaluation will be supportive, provide clear action points, areas of strength and recommendations.

• All evaluations are quality assured to ensure that reporting is consistent and meets our iThink and industry standards.

 

Following the audit and report, we can provide follow-up assistance and visits to review the changes made or provide an update service as regulations change.
